An
exceptional home, the Cluaran
House welcomes you with comfort, luxury, and the
very best of Vermont.
Its
open, airy floor plan is full of light, and offers both privacy and ease
of living. Spacious bedrooms sleep
six (a crib is available upon request). This house is also particularly
suited to small retreats or conferences.
Lounge during warm weather on the large deck, or light a cozy fire
in the massive stone fireplace and enjoy
it in both the dining area and the living room.
The Cluaran House is available
for rent on a monthly basis for $6,300; rates are subject to
Vermont rooms and meal tax. References are required. We regret
that we cannot allow pets in the house.

The spacious comfortable living room is wrapped by a porch overlooking acres of fenced fields and the valley of South Woodstock beyond.

The dining area seats ten comfortably, and is situated next to a large fireplace and near enough to the kitchen for convenience, while maintaining its own character.
Centrally located, the dining area is a wonderful place for family and friends to gather and enjoy lengthy meals and conversation.
The large kitchen features modern appliances, a preparation island, and convenient access to the dining area.
A double bedroom opening through French doors onto a private corner of the porch wrapping the back of the house. Walk out to breakfast overlooking the fields. Relax in the lounge chairs at night and watch the brilliant stars.

A large, bright bathroom, appointed with elegant fixtures and thick, luxurious towels and a rack to heat them on.
A large double room with comfortable queen bed is bright and offers quiet reading space..
A wonderful twin bedroom on the second floor is in a private corner of the house.

Imagine waking up to this view outside your windows... pristine snow in the winter, with views of the mountains, and lush fields and paddocks where sheep and horses graze in the warmer months.
"Cluaran," Gaelic for "thistle," was the name given to the farm property by Mrs. Eileen Wilmot, the farm's previous owner.

The Cluaran House is a wonderful location for a corporate retreat or small conference. Catering for all meals can be provided.
